We are hiring a Special Education Teachers to join our growing Pre-School and School-Age teams in Utica, Rome, Oneida, Chadwick’s, and Sauquoit locations! The Special Education Teacher is responsible to see that each child’s IEP is carried out, take part in interdisciplinary team meetings, oversee teacher aides, and compile reports and statistics.

Core Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and implement the educational program for each child’s (IEP).
- Function as a contributing member of each child’s interdisciplinary team and represent the team at CSE meetings, as required.
- Oversee teacher aides, interns, students and volunteers on all activities for program success.
- Compile all reports and statistics required by agency, regulatory, funding and referral agencies and others as required.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings and committees.
Qualifications
- Current Initial New York State Teacher Certification in students with disabilities for the appropriate age group being taught or a current Provisional New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
