Blue Marble is looking to hire a software testing support team member for our mapping software product line. We are looking for an energetic, tech savvy individual that loves to learn. This position is part of our Q/A and support team driving the Q/A and testing process that in turn supports our product release cycles. Occasionally this position will support our customers with application support problems and other related tasks as needed.

Job duties may include any of the following tasks:

• Testing to ensure software and processes meet documented expectations within documented constraints using manual and automated testing practices
• Review, vet, and confirm bug reports by internal user/testers and report them to the developers
• Work with customers and wider user community for increased software enhancements of company products.
• Participate in the product steering committee for future release planning.
• Correlate areas of focus, and prioritize testing methodologies based on prior areas of concern, and areas of current/future development focus.

Position Requirements

• Experience working in software testing or GIS software use is preferred but not necessary for the right technology background.
• A four year degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• At least 1 year of post-education job experience is recommended. Candidates new to the job market with appropriate educational experience will be considered.
