Job description
This position works with an Enterprise Architect and other Senior Software Engineers to build out significant portions of essential business applications and services. In addition, you will be writing unit and integration tests, investigating and fixing defects, and helping to identify blocking issues. Eventually, the Software Engineer will own a functional area and take operational responsibility for ensuring our business is performant and efficient.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Math or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- One (1) to five (5) years of experience in software development with a focus on C# and .NET
- Experience with SPA Web development, HTML, CSS
- Experience with Object-Relational Mapping, specifically Entity Framework
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies
- Experience writing and speaking about complex technical concepts to audiences in a simplified format
- Experience creating and managing back-end services
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of relational databases, optimizations, indexes, caching
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations

- Development of defined features and functionality that will run on both desktop and mobile devices.
- Utilize asynchronous queue-based messaging systems to deliver scalable performant solutions.
- Write clean, testable, and easy to understand code.
- Responsible for full stack application development.
- Ensure completed work follows department policies, procedures, and coding standards.
- Actively participate in various agile development meetings, design sessions, and presentations.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback constructive to other team members.
- Work with Service Desk to respond to customer requests and issues reported in production.
