The Site Director is present at their assigned school(s) during tutoring sessions where they assess students and monitor instruction, providing ongoing training and real-time coaching to tutors.

The Site Director is also Reconstructions liaison to the school, streamlining communication to teachers and hosting sites. The Site Director will build and maintain relationships across various stakeholders: students, families, tutors, and school staff. Site Director will: Oversee 250-350 (2 elementary schools and 1 middle school) students growth in all Reconstruction subject areas with enthusiasm for academics in math and literacy Liaise with teachers, school staff, and families Become an expert on Reconstruction curriculum and assessments by partnering with Program Office Deliver initial training and ongoing support and communication to tutors Communicate with school staff regarding curriculum, students, and schedule issues Communicate with families regarding student and program updates Coordinate and complete student assessments Work alongside the Tutor team to manage tutoring materials Attend weekly team meetings and additional professional development training Report various operational information to our Client Success Lead Partner with Reconstruction team in providing and receiving feedback, with the goal of aiding the organizations efforts to establish a strong, scalable program model. Coordination of space and time logistics with school staff Act as an ambassador of Reconstruction to personal networks, the Jackson community, and school sites Organize families and community organizations to build a community of support for Jackson students and the Reconstruction organizationWho You Are: We are looking for a Site Director who has: A strong belief that all students can learn and have the potential to develop their knowledge in Black Culture, Black Love, and Black Excellence Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability/willingness to quickly build expertise in teaching, learning, and assessing Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Computer skills and/or ability/willingness to learn programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, email and contact management, file sharing systems (Dropbox and Google Drive), and videoconferencing platforms (Zoom or Google Meets).Bonus Points (Preferred qualifications) Pursing or achieving Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning, or a related industry Project management experienceAdditional RequirementsSite Director will need Transportation to be able to serve students across the district Available during after-school program hours Successfully pass Jackson Public Schools fingerprinting regulations A personal telephone and an internet connection speed that will support work.
