The Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Specialist works with the Production Supervisor and production staff in order to complete assigned tasks, prepare shipment product, paperwork and order fulfillment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ability to read and interpret written work orders, processes and procedures

· Receive packages, shipments and staging materials for production

· Assist with loading and off-loading trailer shipments

· Pulling orders, packaging and setting up shipment

· Packing manufactured products, prepping and staging for shipping

· Participating in cycle counts of merchandise and updating inventory

· Assist with and keep department organized and orderly

· Assist with special projects directed by the supervisor

· All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

· Minimum high school graduate or GED

· 1-3 years of recent warehouse experience working with shipping domestically, internationally, FTL and LTL services as well as receiving and order fulfillment

· Good communication skills, organization, and time management skills

· Knowledge of packaging products for shipment to prevent damage

· Proficiency in the use of MS Office and Excel is required

· Working with Starship shipping software and/or Sage 100 ERP a plus

· Forklift experience mandatory and current certification a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Frequent standing, 6 – 8 hours per day

· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, 2-3 hours per day

· Occasional use of computer, less than 2 hours per day

· Occasional use of telephone, less than 1 hours per day

· Occasional reaching and grabbing, less than 3 hour per day

Company offers full Benefits program (Medical, Dental, Vision) participation after minimum qualifying period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
