POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping & Receiving Associate will be responsible to ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records.

JOB DUTIES

• Loads and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Check for damaged goods, establish quantity and quality of work order; confirm items received with purchase order.
• Pick up and deliver supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; rotates inventory.
• Weighs, tags, and moves finished pallets to frozen storage area.
• Complete startup, shift handoff, and shutdown checklist.
• Receives bulk shipments.
• Oversee Holds.
• Maintains orderly processes and physical condition of warehouses and dock.
• Participates in physical inventories of warehouse.
• Use a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information.
• May prepare damage claims for supervisor’s review and signature; may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records keeping.
• Participates in break relief rotation for Packaging and Production areas as needed.
• Read pick up forms to determine available inventory.
• Communication with vendors as needed.
• Follow up with vendors on problematic orders to ensure quality customer service of product.
• Ensure inventory is properly kept in the freezers and update Fishbowl as needed.
• Keep an eye on supply available every day.
• Other duties as deemed necessary

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 12 PM- 8:30 PM

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience: Three years’ related experience

Experience with a forklift and pallet jack helpful, but not required.

Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, other programs helpful.

Ability to use Mac computers and I-pads helpful, but not required.
