Job description
The Department of Natural Resources, DNR IT Custom Applications section seeks to hire a SharePoint Developer in support of the External Services Division to design, develop and maintain applications in SharePoint. These applications currently exist in the SharePoint platform and will need various form updates as required by the state legislator. The primary focus of this position will be to design, develop, test, implement and maintain our Water ePermitting system which is built using SharePoint (On Prem version 2016). This requires part-time (22 hrs/week) work for a candidate with advanced skillsets and experience.
This position will work at the direction of the DNR IT Supervisor, Application Architect, Business Relationship Manager, Project Manager, and program Leads, utilizing DNR IT standards, software and tools. Tasks of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Orienting self to applications by working with the current developer who maintains the system.
- Identifying a solution/design working in collaboration with project team members.
- Adding and Updating forms using DNR standards and guidance for best coding and database practices, adhering to security requirements. This includes any integrations with other systems.
- Testing the applications by documenting scenarios and test results using DNR approved tools and processes.
- Managing code and version control using Azure DevOps and other code libraries
- Assisting with deploying SharePoint solutions and creating service requests.
- Working on priority tasks and keeping tasks updated with current status in Azure DevOps. Providing input on estimates/timeline for tasks.
- Implementation of user interface changes/bug fixes based on feedback from team, users and testers.
- Creating and maintaining clear and up to date documentation for the project’s configuration and code base.
- Participate in DOA SharePoint meetings and DNR team meetings
- Evaulating change control notices and its impacts of the current system.
- Communicating issues to mitigate risks
Developer must follow DNR standards and procedures for management and versioning of source code, file management and change management processes. The developer must look out for security concerns or issues when developing applications and follow security related protocols. Applications must be built and supported in compliance with Federal and State requirements.
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with application development, designing and modifying SharePoint Workflows using Sharepoint Designer – 6 Years
- Experience creating and modifying SharePoint search – 6 Years
- Experience using Qdabra/Infopath or other Form tool - 6 Years
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Third Party tools using .NET, C# and API’s - 6 Years
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Okta or other forms of Authentication (2 year)
- GIS experience, especially Esri JavaScript APIs. (2 years)
- Government experience (1 year)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
