Role:
The Service Desk Analyst will serve as the initial point of contact for basic incident resolution and requests reported to the service desk. Basic responsibilities include the initial assessment, research, and escalation/resolution of reported incidents and requests. This individual must provide high quality customer service through the entire customer interaction and work to resolve incidents in a timely manner.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to service desk incidents and provide technical support to the end user.
- Provide a basic-to-intermediate level of software and systems support.
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
- Maintain, improve, and optimize the utilization of all organization systems.
- Plan and implement routine system maintenance.
- Analyze and tune system applications as required to meet added performance criteria.
- Responsible for hardware and software configurations of personal computers and related peripherals including scanners, printers and communications devices.
- Ability to coordinate high-level situations with the IT Staff to provide emergency assistance in the event of a systems failure.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience: 1 year of industry experience preferred.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Competencies: Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to quickly learn and use new products as needed, strong ability to successfully complete assigned tasks with high degree of quality and minimal guidance; Ability to plan and organize workload; meet deadlines; strong attention to detail; ability to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team; Proficient job related computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, data entry systems).
