Job description

Dick Scott Automotive Group is hiring Automotive Technicians-Mechanics at all locations, Dick Scott CDJR in Plymouth, Dick Scott Motor Mall in Fowlerville, and Dick Scott Powersports in Livonia.

We are looking for the following positions

  • Lube Techs
  • Certified Techs
  • Master Techs
  • Diesel Techs
  • Transmission Techs
  • Auto Body Techs (@ Dick Scott Collision-Plymouth)

All Technicians will quickly and efficiently perform maintenance services and repairs as required.

Some tech positions require State of Michigan certification

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and document repairs
  • Communicate with service advisors when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period
  • Inspect and test-drive new vehicles to ensure that all features function properly (some positions)
  • Install accessories on new vehicles as specified by the customer or dealer (some positions)
  • Work alongside skilled technicians to learn how to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs


Job Requirements:

  • As an Automotive Technician (Auto Mechanic), you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver
  • Must possess 2 years of automotive maintenance experience
  • Must be Team oriented, flexible, and focused
  • Preference given to Chrysler Level 3 technicians
  • Must have a valid driver's license & good driving record
  • Must have State of Michigan Certification to be considered (does not apply to lube tech positions)
