The award-winning Hilton Garden Inn Pittsford is seeking a part-time server for Breakfast and morning/afternoon banquet shifts.

Our busy restaurant is looking for servers with a friendly smile and a cheerful customer service attitude to set the tone for our guests to enjoy their dining experience with us. You will serve our guests in the restaurant by ensuring that they are seated promptly, their orders are taken, prepared, and served timely, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next guests. Our ideal candidate maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor toward our guests and coworkers while providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Responsibilities:

Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities
Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors
Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer client queries and provide recommendations
Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests

Qualifications:

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.45 - $12.00 per hour
