Position Summary
As the Senior Specialist, Product Management - Biogums you will work with the biogums platform team to optimize the product portfolio, market position and financial returns consistent with the Biogums Platform growth strategy. You will also manage the Fermentation-Derived Cellulose (FDC) product line in collaboration with the Product Director, Biogums by working cross functionally on a day-to-day basis including starting with the customer experience and needs, while optimizing the product portfolio, market position and financial returns consistent with the Biogums platform strategy. You will leverage day-to-day management of the business to heavily impact strategy execution – and drive growth for the product line.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Support analysis of platform needs for long-term health (volume, quality, specifications, and regulatory development)
- Manage to inventory and lead-time policies (with planning manager)
- Challenge inventory and service level performance
- Incorporate competitive intelligence within cost-to-serve models for analysis of overall cost competitiveness strategies
Support new growth projects and resultant product launches
- Sales and customer support
- Execute projects to close gaps
Drive improvement projects and management of change (MOC)
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement prior to MOC initiation
- Drive MOC writing/arrangement/approvals once it is agreed in principle with key stakeholders
- Ensure systems set up and follow through actions items are completed
Manage Customer Relationship Management System inputs
- Pricing targets and floors
- SKU management and optimization
- Product sampling set up, management and optimization
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or business administration or engineer/bachelor science degree, preferably combined with a business degree
- 5+ years of experience in either commercial product area or product development area in industrial / consumer care ingredients market
- Commercial, product development, or technical service experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams using disciplined project management & communication skills
- Strong influential skills and network capability
- Creative, open minded & independent thinker especially in problem solving
- Analytical skills

- This role will be based in Atlanta unless you are an internal candidate working in one of our other US locations. Hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
