Job Summary:
SunOpta is looking for a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for a Senior Sales Manager role that is responsible for part of Walmart INC, HEB and specific growth accounts. This position will drive and execute key initiatives for both new and existing customers across the grocery channel. This person will operate in a high-growth environment and will have the opportunity to make a major impact on the company’s development.

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Directly manage specific Walmart and Sam’s club categories along with HEB. This will expand to other strategic growth accounts in the near future.
  • Develop and maintain by-SKU forecasts for revenue and velocity.
  • Develop and execute aggressive sales goals in revenue and margin targets.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) internally and externally.
  • Become an expert in our product portfolio and operations to be the main point of contact and provide strategic insight across all operations and the portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing to execute and win new business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with merchants, sourcing and product development.
  • Take the lead to create category stories using fact-based data.
  • Look for and actively help to streamline supply chain and drive efficiencies where possible.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a role working with major CPG retailers in sales, analytics and supply chain.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and deliver/produce high quality work.
  • A strong analytical mindset with an intuitive sense of how to interpret KPIs and take operational advantage of data-driven insights.
  • Proven expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A goal-oriented and KPI-driven attitude and approach.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements in pursuit of the sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
Additional Considerations:
  • Travel Expectation: 15% - 30%
  • Location: This position will be in Bentonville, AR.
  • Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • The role is located in Bentonville AR. Work will be split between remote and a shared work space.
