Job description
The Judge Group is currently seeking a Sr. Commercial Insurance Risk Manager for a large multistate construction and recycling company with a mix of self funding and stoploss arrangements in the Camden NJ area. This is an onsite position with travel to locations across the country.
COMPENSATION:140k to 160k plus bonus
WORK LOCATION: Onsite with travel
MUST HAVE: Bachelor?s degree in business or related
MUST HAVE: Prior brokerage experience with experience in the construction or recycling industries
MUST HAVE: Experience onsite evaluating risks and offering solutions to high risks exposures
MUST HAVE: Experience negotiating premiums for companies in the construction and/or recycling industries
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the insurance and benefits team is meeting business goals
- Evaluate the company?s insurance needs and negotiate appropriate policies to provide
adequate coverage
- Negotiate coverage and cost with insurance brokers and carriers
- Manage relationships with insurance providers
- Ensure that insurance policies meet the company?s needs and are up-to-date
- Travel to company?s sites throughout the US
- Oversee insurance claims and ensure timely handling
- Analyze / assess risks to the company and develop strategies to mitigate those risks
- Update management on best practices and opportunities for cost savings
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in a brokerage or Risk Management role
- In-depth knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong negotiation skills
