Job Description and Duties include:

Oversee full-cycle corporate accounting for the property management company at the corporate level, as well as the multifamily properties in the existing portfolio at the property level;

Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our multifamily real estate portfolio;

Assist reviewing and approve accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions;

Coordinate loan draws with property and lenders by tracking and documenting invoices;

Prepare financial statements, oversee budgets and cash forecasting for the property management company at the corporate level as well as helping with the multifamily portfolio at the property level financial statements include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as well as budgets and cash forecasts;

Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity;

Oversee federal and state tax returns with 3rd party CPA firm;

Work with Accounting analyst as well as the investment team members and development team members internally;

Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement;

Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations;

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including property managers, lenders, and investors;

Assist preparing and filing tax returns and other regulatory filings as required;

Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience Property Accounting in Multi-Family Real Estate
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in Yardi software or equivalent property management software such as RealPage, Entrata, ResMan, or AppFolio
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment with opportunity to help shape the culture and grow with the company
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
