Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares Supply Chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time in support of delivering global capacity requirements. We are looking for Senior Program Manager to develop & execute strategies to deliver datacenter spares & warranty support models at cloud scale in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, to provide & enable core services in support of global teams by engineering & managing robust processes for reliable delivery of service parts to datacenters.
Responsibilities
- Define and engineer process and tools for managing service parts business for one or more global regions, and one or more global parts providers
Define & drive to detailed program schedules, including program reviews to share scope, schedule, issues, and risks
Engineer, execute, and then refine process and tool models to improve operational efficiency and enable scale for service parts operations
Build working relationships across multiple disciplines and teams, driving influence across the organization
Drive continuous improvement of deployment processes, including assessment & improvement of program delivery capabilities, analysis & insights of business performance metrics, and manage voice-of-the-customer feedback loops
Implement measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision making
Collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Contracts Management & the supply base, effectively building relationships with a wide range of influencers and cultivating strategic relationships globally
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years Services & Supply Chain Experience
- Skilled in Project Management and Leadership
- Experience with Process Development
- PMP Certification
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
