The Sr. Program Manager role will liaise with a variety of teams to manage projects in engineering, systems & controls, and product management areas. The primary responsibilities will focus on managing NPI (New Product Introduction), cost improvement projects, and project teams. Manage and maintain the NPI process. Focus these efforts on the company's strategic goals and the specific projects' tactical goals. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Operational Excellence.

A Day in the Life:

  • Coach and direct reports driving Engineering Project Governance:
  • Provide oversight for the Engineering portion of high visibility Enterprise projects to ensure they are on track and meet required goals.
  • Act as a partner and guide the prioritization of Engineering and business leadership during the project selection process.
  • Lead, facilitate, and support Actions to drive improvements across major programs such as Program Management, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management in order to have clear timelines, metrics, deliverables, and measurable benefits.
  • Enable and facilitate standardized Metrics and Reporting. Provide metrics to internal and external customers to facilitate improved decision making

  • Establish and foster an environment of Continuous Engineering Process Improvement
  • Serve as a key member of the Engineering leadership team and help to execute an aggressive growth strategy which includes significant change management for the development and implementation of America's New Product Development.
  • Create the vision and strategy that drives continuous improvement in terms of cost reduction (CIP), productivity gains, and best practices to ensure consistent product quality across all functions and facilities.
  • Ensure all improvement initiatives support all elements of the organization inclusive of the customer experience and front/back-office operations.
  • Create an organizational training strategy that supports the continuous improvement culture including basic knowledge, process improvement, root cause analysis, maintenance, etc.
  • Provide executive oversight for all Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, and CIP projects.
  • Establish and implement a process for standard communication of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization and perform periodic audits to ensure the process is consistent.
  • Coordinate and lead executive meetings for the purpose of selecting improvement projects, reporting progress on current projects, and maintaining standardization of processes.
  • Develop and implement opportunity assessment and realization scorecards for improvement in business performance across all areas of the business.

What you will Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from a four-year college or university is required. An advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
  • Experience required in the following: Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean, SCRUM, and/or Agile Development.
  • Track record of successful project management and team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality and design engineering, manufacturing, specifications, testing, and inspections.
  • Superior interpersonal & communication skills with a unique ability to influence people, articulate ideas, and lead highly productive technical teams.
  • Executive presence demonstrated leadership characteristics of self-motivation, confidence, influence, integrity, and professional savvy.
  • Ability to quantify results, lead change, and interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), MS Project, Visio, etc.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification (preferred)
  • Preferred experience with project management enterprise systems like Project Online, Project Server, and/or Azure DevOps
  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization and cross-functional, well-developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and/or client needs
  • Experience in a custom, electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Travel on an as-needed basis; 20-25% annually

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,057.79 - $135,000.00 per year
