Boeing Defense, Space & Security is hiring for its P-8 Poseidon Program!
The P-8 Program, along with our suppliers, build and deliver the safest, most sophisticated Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-surface Warfare (ASuW), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) weapon system on the face of the earth. The P-8 Mission ties into the US National Defense Strategy by making the oceans and seas transparent. This program is tasked by the U.S. Navy customer to protect Americans & Homeland.
There is currently an opportunity for a Sr. Technical Integration Engineer who will lead the Air Vehicle Engineering Team through modification retrofit activity in Tukwila, WA with a small amount of travel out to the mod sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead integration efforts for the Air Vehicle Integrated Product Team (IPT) (which includes the wiring, airframe, electrical systems, mechanical systems, interiors and payloads design teams) on modification retrofit activity
Act as the Boeing POC for the NAVAIR customer for any Air Vehicle related questions or concerns. Represent Air Vehicle in interactions with NAVAIR customers and other Boeing IPTs
Coordinate with IPTs/Boeing PAX team to investigate any issues related with test aircraft. Troubleshoot and drive solutions to engineering issues
Present any Air Vehicle related issues, status updates, etc. at Boeing/Customer meetings. Prepare and present technical report outs to senior management and customer leadership
Coordinate engineering change efforts impacting fleet aircraft
Own and manage program risks
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options: Tukwila, WA and on-site at Customer Naval Base (limited amount of travel). This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
5+ years’ experience in aerospace industry
3+ years of experience working on aircraft modification program, or new airplane program
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn technical engineering designs/concepts quickly
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Experience working within ENOVIA, CATIA V5, PDM, IVT
Experience providing customer support to address concerns
Experience with the P-8A aircraft
Experience presenting technical content to Boeing and customer leadership
Strong project management skills
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $124,100 - $167,900
