Law360, a LexisNexis Company, is currently searching for a talented, creative and experienced engineer to join our dynamic and growing company. This job requires someone who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where ideas go from concept to reality within days. This position will report to the Senior Director of Product Development and will interface with various departments including Marketing, Sales, and Editorial.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building and iterating new web-based products and apps for Law360
- Work with core stakeholders to develop ideas and improve the platform
- Participate in strategic product planning activities and provide input from a technology standpoint
- Manage technology projects and ensure completion in a timely fashion
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience developing and administering web sites and large-scale data systems
- Skills in all levels of the application stack: DB, server side and client side programming
- Advanced experience with Ruby (other languages, such as Java, Python, or Node a plus)
- Experience managing infrastructure on Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, Elasticsearch or equivalent
- Web development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience with Unix/Linux
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a team environment
- Expertise in managing and prioritizing multiple projects
- iOS or Android development a plus
- Machine learning experience a plus
