Field Service Engineer II
Field Service Engineer II for Honeywell International, Inc. (Torrance, CA)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer with technical and consulting support for industrial process control/automation platforms, particularly Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS).- Understand Honeywell’s DCS technical product line and provide customer with guidance on application, life cycle management, best practices, benefits, savings/cost and other factors influencing business direction.
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware and software including: TDC/TPS, Data Hiway and Experion PKS, DCS equipment.
- Implementation and Administration of TPS & EPKS Domains, controllers (HPM, eHPM, eUCN, eLCN, C200/C300), switches, peripherals.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, plan and repair, control system problems using standard test equipment/software applications.
- Utilize Global Technical Assistance Center and lead all site efforts to work through issues; act as the liaison between the customer and Honeywell.
- On / Off Process migrations.

YOU MUST HAVE:
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and five (5) years of experience.
Full term of experience must include: Distributed Control Systems (DCS) experience; on process migration; virtualization, specifically VMware; Design, configuration, troubleshooting of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software packages; with Universal Control Network (UCN) / Local Control Network (LCN) level devices and computer networks; control system architecture utilizing computer networked data communications and graphical interfaces for high level process supervisory management; performing hardware (controllers, servers, workstations) and software (LCN / Experion) upgrades including hardware refresh, point and major software releases; and performing audits and baselines of installed control systems.
Must possess two (2) years of experience performing On/Off process migrations for DCS hardware and software.
Up to 70% domestic travel required.
Telecommuting permitted when not at a client site.
