POSITION SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will be a major contributor to the development and implementation of software projects across the organization. The Senior Application Developer facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables. This position monitors and reports on work progress, project tasks, and resource requirements. Other responsibilities include developing and integrating proprietary and commercial application software programs, web sites/applications and data products using the latest tools and techniques. Requires experience in disciplined programming, data migration, and development tools and standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with creative team to implement complete redesign of ecommerce web site’s front-end theme (Shopify).
• Develop and maintain landing pages and HTML emails using languages including HTML, CSS, and Javascript within the Liquid templating engine.
• Integrate ecommerce web site with 3rd party applications and interfaces via REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Enhance capabilities of ecommerce web site by integrating with new sales channels and marketing initiatives.
• Create solutions and implement internal software projects based on end user and department requirements.
• Define and manage software technical requirements and documentation.
• Able to learn and apply proprietary applications and create and/or apply development tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent academic achievement
• Demonstrated verifiable reputation for integrity;
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working through the requirement, design, development, QA & UAT testing, implementing and delivering in release cycles, and to customers;
• 5-10 years’ experience in software development

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages, including HTML, CSS/SCSS, Javascript/JQuery, SQL/MYSQL, C#.Net MVC, PHP, and other Web Technologies
• Knowledge of the Shopify Ecommerce Platform, Liquid, and public/private app development
• Knowledge of GIT/version control software
• Knowledge of utilizing Illustrator and Photoshop for manipulating and extracting images for front-end web design
• Knowledge of Jira or comparable ticketing system for project and task management
• Knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
• Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Lean, and Scrum etc.

• You have a confident and articulate approach when presenting ideas
• You have demonstrable experience delivering content on time and within budget
• You are a strong communicator, able to brief others clearly on what is needed

• Ability to work some Saturdays and evenings.
• Knowledge of automated software and system management tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The employee must have the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, or sit for long periods of time.
