The Senior Accounting Analyst will provide accounting support and handle the main functions of cash analysis, cash reporting and audit support throughout the year. This position will require a strong knowledge base in accounting and treasury/cash management. Theis key role will provide direction and reporting around the entire cash management process and will be the lead on all audit support for the company. The Analyst will report directly to the CFO and be a key member of the accounting team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Develop strategies to optimize the cashflow position of the company.
- Prepare and assist with all cash reporting, forecasting and cash covenants with the bank.
- Work with business partners to enhance accuracy of the cash reporting and cash forecasts.
- Timely, accurate execution of cash related activities, internal and external audits, forecasting and budgeting support and accounting month end support as needed.
- Ensure the reconciliation and analysis of related balance sheet accounts, inventory accounts, and various income statement accounts
- Perform monthly journal entries and close duties as needed from Accounting Manager
- Work with Accounting Manager on various accounting duties throughout the year.
- Provide audit support to external audit, internal audit, and bank audits throughout the year.
- Ability to develop into the audit lead for the company and provide key support for all audit requests.
- Create and/or maintain documentation of various processes, systems, controls, and issues that directly or indirectly impact financial statements.
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards
- Systems knowledge/skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding analytical skills, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and detail-oriented

- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience of progressive accounting and treasury experience
The Steve Silver Company is an industry leading importer of dining, occasional, bedroom, upholstery, home office and outdoor furniture with extensive overseas sourcing and quality control expertise on the ground throughout Asia. The company operates from a 500,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility in Forney, Texas and a second state-of-the art 400,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility in Mesquite.
