We are seeking a Security Officer to join our Emergency Services department. This position is Part Time with less than 20 hours per week and is eligible for a 13% pay differential in addition to the base salary in lieu of benefits. We're looking for compassionate, enthusiastic, and dependable candidates that are team players with a positive attitude.

- Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent in training or experience.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license.
- Licensure/Certification:
- MOAB certification required within 90 days of hire.
- DPSST: Unarmed or Armed Security Certification from the Department of Public Safety and Standards Training - or temporary DPSST certification is required upon start.
- Experience:
- Six (6) months experience in a health care setting; will consider similar experience in security background, law enforcement or military in lieu of hospital setting.
- Experience in military or law enforcement preferred.
- Bi-lingual helpful.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. MCMC will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- De-escalation training or experience desired.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Must be able to remain calm and professional in all situations.
