Aviator Sports and Events Center, a premier sports and recreation complex which includes a 175,000 sq. ft indoor facility featuring state-of-the-art ice rinks, a 15,000 sq. ft gymnastics center and rock-climbing wall, wood floor basketball courts, two outdoor fields, along with a golf range is currently looking for motivated, friendly and hard-working individuals to join our growing team. We are searching for part-time hourly licensed security workers to patrol, monitor and secure Aviator’s inside and outside property. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK Monday, Tueday, Thursday and Fridays from 4:00 pm – 12:00 am shifts

Security Guard Responsibilities:
- Secure premises by patrolling; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry only to certain areas.
- Opening and closing Golf Range during open seasons.
- Check sounding alarms and notify management of any alarms sounding.
- Control traffic by directing drivers where to unload deliveries.
- Complete incident reports for all injuries by recording information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and copy of report to COO and employee injuries to HR within 24 hours.
- Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Contribute to security team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all staff, visitors, and the premises.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
- Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
- Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
- Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, patrolling premises regularly, traffic control, and accident investigations.
- Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a current New York State Security Guard License
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures
- Security and/or law enforcement experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for an extended periods of time
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency and safety-sensitive situations
