CONTRIBUTE TO YOUTH & ADULT RECREATION PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY! $17.49/hrWe are looking for friendly, outgoing and energetic individuals that love being involved in sports. Join us for our 2023 youth and adult softball seasons running from April through October. Spring session will run April – June, and fall session will run August – October (this position will be idle most of July for scheduled ball field repair, rest and recovery). Seasonal Site Supervisors must be available to work evenings from Monday – Thursday, beginning as early as 4:30pm, and ending as late as 10:30pm for all actively running softball programs (select weekends may be scheduled for other city programs utilizing the softball complex). Training and job shadowing for this position will be provided by the Recreation staff. Softball/baseball playing, coaching or officiating experience is preferred but not required.
Essential job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Score/Stat keeping in select adult softball leagues
Roster data collection, and player eligibility verification
Friendly and professional interaction with players, coaches, fans and officials
Ensuring proper field set-ups for scheduled leagues/activities
Assist with youth instructional softball program
Maintain field and facility safety/cleanliness standards
This position is ideal for current and former ball players, parents who no longer have children playing, but still love being involved and spending time at the ball park, and anyone pursuing a future in the recreation industry.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old. Graduation from high school or GED and one (1) year of experience performing related duties.
