The Seamer Operator is responsible for working with an operator friendly robotic machine that produces seams of consistent quality. Seamer closely monitors for any seam defects and follows the Seaming Procedure.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively perform seaming operations – converting post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
• Responsible for ensuring the seamer machine is operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to quality standards.
• Accurately setup seaming machine to seam and rewind specific counts per customer order.
• Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
• Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials for the machine.
• Inspect equipment for defects and perform maintenance duties as necessary.
• Ability to learn quickly and adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.
• Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement events.
• Serve as an example of what our company values most: innovation, respect, integrity, creativity, and collaboration.

• Strong math skills and understanding of metric and standard measurements/ conversions.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following standard work instructions.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of finishing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. 21% to 50% of work time
• Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting and use of manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time
• Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision
• Incumbent regularly required to carry and lift up to 75lbs.
• Work with rotating equipment, hazardous equipment, and safety sensitive equipment
