Position Overview
Partner with the Southeast sales team to drive packaging products and equipment solutions, revenue and margin. This is accomplished through:
- Working directly with General Manager’s, sales teams and central category to target key industrial customers, qualify their potential and provide the right alignment of packaging solutions and resources to convert packaging business.
- Achieving targeted packaging revenue and margin goals
- Providing internal and supplier support to achieve success through existing and new Southeast customers.
- Building strong and strategic relationships with suppliers through leveraging the Envoy packaging platform.
- Build upon packaging industry knowledge to evolve solutions and capabilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with sales teams to establish, develop and acquire new business and grow existing business within an assigned pre-qualified prospecting territory.
- Drive industrial packaging sales within existing customers.
- Work with sales team and sales managers to develop pursuit strategy to win packaging business.
- Develop target list of new customers.
- Utilize CRM, relationships, prospect lists and other avenues to find new customer opportunities.
- Collaborate with suppliers to target and execute realized sales through lead generation.
- Manage lead generation programs.
- Facilitate and provide on-site expertise for site assessments and product demonstrations with sellers.
- Facilitate “installation” of new equipment.
- Organize scheduled product training with sales team.
- Assist with selling service programs. Support service team through sales of service and PM (Preventative Maintenance) programs.
- Work with category team to build supplier relationships and support key initiatives.
- Collaborate with customers and potential customers to fully understand their needs, wants, concerns, satisfactions and expectations by seeking information and opinions.
- Attend trainings, sales meetings, trade shows, and other company functions as required.
- Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench-marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Be industry expert on newest innovations, including but not limited to selling robotics.
- The selected candidate will travel a minimum of 40% of the time throughout Georgia and nearby surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will have:
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Industrial Packaging.
- Specific knowledge of Flexible Packaging, Packaging Machinery and Packaging Distribution preferred.
- PC literate, proficient with Salesforce.com and MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook required.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivation and communication skills required.
- Must be able to travel regularly throughout Georgia.
- Valid Driver’s license.
