Overview – Job Description
- We are looking for a Sales Operation Administrator with a positive can-do attitude who can provide administrative, sales and channel program support to our customers. You will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing and manage administrative projects and communication efforts within our team, across departments, and with our domestic & international channel sales representatives. Sonnet Technologies sells direct to consumer but also through reseller and distributor channels, you will be at the core ensuring all listings have access to consistent information and you will manage the sales programs.
Job Details - Your job will entail the following responsibilities:
- Work with US/ Canada distributors to ensure product listing descriptions and images on partner web sites are accurate and up to date.
- Work with sales management and online e-retailers in the execution of participation in their marketing programs and promotions.
- Regularly review product listings on each online e-tailer’s web site to ensure product information, images and videos are accurate and sufficiently comprehensive.
- Support the administrative needs of the MDF (Market Development Fund) program, including validation /approval of rebate claims, tracking of accrued amounts and reimbursements, addressing questions, and finding appropriate resolution in a timely manner.
- Responsible for screening general sales email and phone inquiries, handling, or routing for resolution, and following up to insure satisfactory closure.
- Contacting potential reseller / VAR customers by phone and/or email to gather information that will help determine qualification and training needs.
- Maintaining Where-To-Buy Database to insure only active resellers that properly represent Sonnet products are listed. Periodically contact listed resellers to ensure contact information is accurate and up to date.
- Periodically send price list updates to US/ Canada / Latin America resellers and maintain price list distribution database.
- Create and send new product and price list load sheets to US/ Canada distributors.
- Maintain current working knowledge of products and be able to explain general features / function of products.
- Track distributor inventory levels and work with sales management and distributor account representatives to forecast and maintain proper inventory levels for each product.
- Compile specialized sales reports as requested.
- Assist with special projects ensuring completion and deadlines are met.
- Develops and maintains presentation, spreadsheets, databases, correspondence/documents, and other resources that support the administrative needs of the department(s).
- Work diplomatically and effectively across cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- Two years’ administrative or customer service experience preferred.
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills essential.
- Excellent time and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivating with the ability to work independently manage multiple and varied projects simultaneously with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail and appropriate follow through.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers which includes coworkers, managers and customers in a timely manner.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work assignments; be flexible, personable.
- Capability to follow directions with a positive “can do” attitude.
- Willingness and initiative to volunteer to take on tasks that don’t fall directly into “the job description”.
- Proactively looking ahead to see what tasks could be completed to make the sales operations process efficient and effective.
- Capable of reading and interpreting information, such as reports, general correspondence, and policy guidelines, with the ability to share with others as needed.
- Capable of demonstrating an understanding of, and being sensitive to, a culturally diverse customer base.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with professional ethics and standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
