JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking an results-driven, detail oriented Sales Manager to support the sales efforts at both our Holiday Inn Atlanta Airport North. Bring your sales, networking, and guest service skills to help build our client base and deliver the guest experience that our brands are known for!A successful Sales Manager will drive business by sharing our brand of hospitality with potential group guests. They will use their warm and professional personality to develop and build long term relationships with our key clients. A Sales Manager is an expert in delivering win-win deals for the hotel and the client; their eye for detail and follow thorough will keep our customers coming back time and time again. RESPONSIBILITIES- Solicit new and existing group accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals predominately through outside sales calls, relationships, telephone solicitation, site tours and written communication/collateral.
- Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
- Finalize all books/contracts in a timely manner servicing guests through the process.
- Participate in revenue management call, training, and other sales-related meetings, when applicable.
- Pursue new clients through creative/innovative sales techniques.
- Qualify clients, develop proposals, and prepare contracts.
- Initiate and implement sales promotional programs with travel partners.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
- Communicate with front desk and other necessary hotel staff on the status of group bookings.
- Conduct on-site tours, when needed.
- Follow-up on group business (pending, tentative and booked) to ensure client satisfaction and materialization at hotel.
- Knowledge of sales process, client base, and general market knowledge.
- Ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests.
- Able to develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the community.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Possess proficient computer skills including knowledge of MS Office products, knowledge of brand operating systems preferred.
