Silicon Valley Medical Development is currently seeking a talented Safety Compliance Officer to join our growing team!

Location: Los Gatos, CA

Pay: $89,000 - $143,000/year

Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Safety Compliance Officer is responsible for organization-wide planning, oversight and implementation of environmental health and safety programs, Workers’ Compensation programs for SVMD and affiliated medical groups and all related initiatives, policies and procedures. In this hands-on role, he/she will lead the safety function, and drive its success by identifying metrics to meet workplace environmental health and safety goals. Works in synergy with SVMD leadership on related performance improvement programs and organizational goals. Directs efforts to ensure the highest levels of patient, employee, and provider safety. Responsible for regulatory compliance related to workplace environmental health and safety, and infectious disease management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing, Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field required
• Current certification in a safety discipline that may include: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM), Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
• 5-7 years of occupational health and safety experience including Workers' Compensation program administration preferably in a healthcare organization (e.g., hospital, outpatient clinic, clinical lab, medical foundation, large medical group)
