The Roadway Project Engineer position being sought by Impact is one of growth and opportunity. Impact is experiencing tremendous growth in the transportation sector and we are looking for the right candidate to come in and help push our Roadway group to greater heights. The position will allow the perspective candidate, not only to practice roadway engineering, but to also lead a team and pursue growth in many different areas. Ideally the candidate for this position would be a registered Professional Engineer or have the ability to obtain a PE within one calendar year. However, if there is an outstanding candidate who falls just outside of this experience range, considerations for employment will still be made.
Experience:
- NC and SC Registered PE preferred or ability to obtain licensure in NC and SC within 12months
- Excellent engineering design, written, oral, and communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway design
- Proficiency using Microstation, GuideSign, AuotCAD, Geopak, and/or Open Roads
- Experience with NCDOT and/or SCDOT as well as NC and SC municipalities is highly desired
- Experience developing plans and specifications NC and SC related projects
- Have working knowledge of NCDOT Guidelines for Highway Design and the FHWA Roadway Design Manual.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
