Job: RN Supervisor

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehab is actively hiring a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the various shift, weekday and weekend for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the New Haven area of CT. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects within our healthcare facility, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care.

The ideal candidate will have experience in long term care, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration. The candidate needs be organized, have strong clinical skills, be able to multi-task, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. He/she must be an effective leader and be a compassionate care giver. We have a talented, supportive nursing management team willing to train the right individuals.

Duties of RN Supervisor:

• Assist with and oversea treatment and medication administration
• Obtain and implement Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness
• Perform walking rounds to ensure nursing staff are providing the highest level of resident care possible
• Admit new/re Admissions
• Conduct audits of new admission charts
• Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditions
• Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments
• Investigate and report incidents
• Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care
• Participate and report on patient conditions in risk meetings

Qualifications:

• Must have current CT RN license
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills
• Long term care experience is preferred
• Supervisory experience is preferred
