Full-time-Part-Time or Per-Diem RN Float
- The RN provides a full range of hospice nursing care to patients and families in the Home Care Program.
- Provides personal care such as bathing
- Monitors patients' medical conditions and provides accurate reports to attending physicians as appropriate
- Works in an interdisciplinary care setting to teach, assist, and support patients/families with the dying process.
- Covers On-Call as needed
- Carries out the pain management and symptom management plan to keep the patient as comfortable as possible.
- Reassesses pain and notifies the registered nurse when pain is not manageable on the current medications.
- Responds to the physical, mental, social and emotional needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
- Provides care within all service areas of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.
- Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
- Licensed registered nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; home health or hospice nursing preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Proof of liability insurance.
- Proof of reliable transportation
- Possesses the ability to travel to all of Hospice of Huntington’s service
