Retail Sales Associate

Retail Sale Associate ensures that quests have a positive and memorable experience. The candidate should have an interest in honey, bees and be willing to be trained and be knowledgeable in honey, honey processes i.e. infusion and related products and accessories.

Asheville Bee Charmer’s Retail Sales Associate Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming guests to Asheville Bee Charmer’s store promptly and courteously
• Introducing guests to the Asheville Bee Charmers Experience
• Introduce guests to the variety of ways honey is used in eating, cooking, beauty products and health products
• Introducing guests to sample and enjoy honey
• Describe local and non-local honeys, honey making techniques i.e. infusion, the history of honey and bees
• Promotes the sale of honey and related products and accessories
• Provide general tourist and community information
• Setting up and cleaning up daily operations and special events
• Stocking honey and retail merchandise
• Open to working at any of Asheville Bee Charmer’s locations in Asheville, NC
• Handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating cash register and learning to ship online orders
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of bees, honey, honey processes and related products and accessories
• Work in a team environment and be a team player

Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent people skills; able to project a friendly and helpful manner at all times

Able to easily lift 25 pounds

Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision

Able to work a flexible schedule and be on time

Able to be responsive and flexible at last minute requests

High school diploma or equivalent and/or qualified experience required

Retail experience a plus

Professional appearance and demeanor

Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for up to 8 hours a day

Weekends, some holidays required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
