The Landing is family-owned neighborhood bar & grill located on Lake Vermilion in Cook, MN. We maintain an ultra-welcoming environment, fresh food, and a feeling of community. We are a full-service restaurant with a menu focused on classic American food with rotating Chef specialties. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations.

We have a great team in place, a stellar reputation, and a fantastic base of loyal guests. We are now looking to add a long term general manager that will embrace our values and take The Landing to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the team by hiring, developing, and inspiring all restaurant team members
• Ensure that all guests receive a “winning experience, every time” by maintaining the highest of standards across all customer touchpoints
• Maximize profitability by driving revenue, productivity, and controlling operational costs
• Collaborate with ownership in developing and executing marketing initiatives
• Drive team member development by successfully delegating to the greatest extent possible

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-3 years restaurant management experience
• A genuine service orientation
• Excellent personal discipline – leading by example is fundamental to the job
• Consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills
• Flexible schedule – most work hours will be on weekend and evenings
• A keen understanding of food cost, labor cost and demonstrated tenacity in controlling costs
• Willingness to learn

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A compensation package will be created that addresses the specific goals and objectives of the both the candidate and the restaurant. This is a full-time salaried position.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
