We have immediate openings for full and part-time Residential Support Specialists in our Assisted Living Facility in Fairfax, VA. Not all benefits are avialable for part-time employees/
Schedule 1 Full-time: Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday 4p-12a, and Thursday 4p-11p; Tuesday 2p-1p
Schedule 2 Full-time: Tuesday through Friday 8a-4p; Saturday 4p-12a
Schedule 3 Part-time (24 hours): Friday 4p-12a; Saturday and Sunday 8a-4p
Gain valuable experience with Pathway Homes’ proven recovery-based model for addressing severe and persistent mental illness. Work within a supportive environment meeting regularly with your supervisor and teammates.
The RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST:
- Provides direct supervision and assists individuals in learning independent living skills
- Assists with developing, implementing, and monitoring residents’ individual service plans
- Promotes and supports each individual’s recovery to include psychiatric stability, increased skills, sobriety, securing more independent housing, and meaningful community engagement
- Collaborates with other staff members to ensure residents’ needs are met
- Monitors and reports any maintenance, health, fire, and safety issues
- Learns to document residents’ behavior and progress in the clinical record in accordance with DBHDS, DSS, DMAS, CARF, and Pathway Homes’ standards
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Intern or professional experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Current VA Board of Nursing Medication Aide Certification. Qualified Mental Health Professional.
