Do you have experience working with seniors? We have a FULL TIME career opportunity for a RESIDENT SERVICES MANAGER working as an integral member of our resident care team. You will participate with Resident Assistant hiring, onboarding, coaching and counseling and performance management while providing these staff day-to-day direction; manage referrals and assist residents with supplemental services; collaborate with scheduler to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts to meet resident needs. This hands-on role may also provide care services to our awesome residents who we are fortunate to have live with us at our Senior Living Grand Rapids Assisted/Independent Living Community: The Terraces.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direction to Resident Assistants. Participate with hiring, onboarding, staff development, coaching and counseling and performance management. Ensure delegation of responsibility, authority and accountability
  • Manage referrals and assist residents with supplemental services; coordinate services and make referrals to meet resident needs
  • Collaborate with scheduler to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts. Monitor staffing levels to meet resident needs. Perform/provide direct care as necessary
  • Participate in rounds with services providers, physicians and other health care providers to observe residents and to determine needs are being met
  • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the care of residents in assisted living. Provide recommendation of services for Independent Living residents as needed
  • Schedule and train care staff, and ensure that clinical services are delivered in accordance with any regulations and professional standards
  • Maintain, organize, and distribute supplies at appropriate levels; order and stock supplies on a regular basis or as needed.
  • Assist with investigation of reports of neglect and abuse; refer to proper organization for follow up
  • Ensure that Physician’s orders and other records requiring signatures are received and filed/uploaded within the required time frame
  • Participate in resident care conferences. Ensure Care Plans are updated and Point of Care is reflective of care needs

Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or health related field or equivalent education and experience.

Experience

  • Two years experience in geriatric setting preferred.
