About the team
As an important part behind ByteDance, our team was established to help realize our company vision, building a global platform for creation and communication. We are doing the world-class work in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, speech and audio, knowledge and data mining, and transferring our work into ByteDance which are used by hundreds of millions of users around the world. As a vital AI infrastructure for the company, our machine learning system integrates our most up-to-date R&D results in AI algorithms and systems. • Research and develop our machine learning systems, including heterogeneous computing architecture, management, and monitoring
• Deploy the machine learning systems, distributed task scheduling, machine learning training, and machine learning inference
• Manage cross-layer optimization of system and AI algorithms and hardware for machine learning (GPU, FPGA, ASIC)

Qualifications

• Master distributed and parallel computing principles; know the recent advances in computing, storage, networking, and hardware technologies
• Familiar with machine learning algorithms and platform
• Know how GPU, FPGA, ASIC works
• Master at least one or two programming languages in Linux environment: C/C++, Go, Python
• The following experiences are a plus:
• GPU based high-performance computing, RDMA high-performance network
• Tensorflow, Caffe, MxNet, PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks
• Large scale data processing and parallel computing
• Experiences in designing and operating large scale systems in cloud computing or machine learning

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $280000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
