TCI is Hiring for a Dual Position of Heavy Truck Service Writer and Rental Agent in our Busy Fleet Shop

We are looking for confident individuals with a customer service orientation: strong interpersonal and telephone skills, provide front line contact with customers, match vehicle demand with availability, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Service Writer Duties:

• Perform entry-level computer skills
• maintain PM currency at 95%
• parts pricing and stocking
• opening and closing of work orders
• invoicing to customers
• check stories written by Techs ensuring all parts are on work order while keeping up with flow of work orders
• schedule trucks in for maintenance with daily communication and follow up with customers and vendors
• issue purchase orders to vendors for parts and service
• other admin duties as needed.

Rental Agent Job Responsibilities:

• Customer interaction (in-person, email, phone, etc.)
• Going out on sales calls and meeting potential clients
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency
• equipment is in good working order, report any issues found
• Fleet Management/Inventory
• Billing
• Open/Close Rental Agreements
• Daily rental check in/out
• Generate reports
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
• Fuel island inspections
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Work with Sales persons within the company.

Job Qualifications:

• Microsoft Excel experience a PLUS!
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires ability to get in & out of commercial trucks.
• Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
