RELIABILITY CONSULTANT I
Applied Technical Services, Inc. (ATS) is a growing consulting engineering, testing and inspection company seeking a Reliability Consultant based out of Orono, ME.
The total compensation for this position is $55,120 to $68,788 per year. It is expected that the total compensation would be near the top end of that range. The total compensation comes from an hourly rate of $26.50/hr. ($55,120/yr.), around 4 hours of time and a half overtime per week paid at $39.75/hr. ($8,268/yr.), per diem paid at $60 per day for about 65 days per year ($5,400/yr.) and a quarterly bonus that has historically ranged from $350-400 (around $1,500/yr.) Hotel and all approved travel expenses are paid by the company when traveling.
Description:
The Reliability Consultant will work with our Consulting Engineering Department in assisting with executing reliability services for our clients. This position will report to the Reliability Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
The Reliability Consultant will be responsible for delivering all facets of services to our clients and development of new client sales. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
- Conduct in depth field investigations to assess the conditions leading to failure of rotating equipment using industrial best engineering practices and Predictive Maintenance methods.
- Assist with developing and accessing Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance programs.
- Assist with developing technical reports.
- Assist with developing new technical training modules to offer our clients.
- Assist with Reliability and Failure Analysis Training.
- Identify client requirements by establishing relationships with potential clients.
- Prepare proposals based on discussions with clients, reviewing customer documents, and consulting with Engineering Managers.
- Gain client proposal acceptance by communicating cost and operational benefits associated with using our services.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and certifications.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology- Strong working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills – Excel, Word documents using multi media materials, File & Directory management, Computer Aided Design Software
- Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment
- Travel required (+50% estimated)
