Join us as a Registered Nurse - Admissions

32 Hours - 3:00pm - 11:30pm (Weekend and holiday Rotation)

As an Admissions Registered Nurse, for MiraVista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. The Admissions Nurse, under the supervision of the Intake Director will assist patients newly admitted to MiraVista and perform the following tasks:

• 
  Perform Nurse:Nurse with referring source
• Welcome patients to MiraVista
• Maintain patient privacy and safety
• Ensure person search and belongings search are completed
• Complete all aspects of the nursing admission assessment in the Medical Record
• Complete all legal documents as required
• Any other duties as assigned by the intake manager

As an Admissions Nurse (RN), you will be an active participant in the health care team that provides direct and indirect care to patients and their families. You are responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in our core values. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and contribute to each patient’s treatment plan by helping develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions, informed by patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems.

You Bring Meaningful Experience

Successful candidates will have the following:

• 
  Valid RN license in Massachusetts, BSN preferred
• Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders treatment modalities
• Understanding of the Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care
• Valid CPR certification
• Previous experience is preferred in psychiatric or substance use disorders inpatient, restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is a new healthcare provider created to bring much needed psychiatric and substance use disorder services to Western Massachusetts.
