Job Summary:
Vascular Access Registered Nurse is responsibile for planning, organizing and evaluating patient care interventions and their effect on outcome. The Vascular Access Nurse must demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation, planning, coordination and provision of care for the patient while planning vascular access selection and insertion of ultrasound guided PIV, Extended Dwell, Midline, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters. The Vascular Access Nurse will work in collaboration with the Interventional Radiology Department and the Director of Cardiovascular Services in accordance with hospital/department policies.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

CA RN License

Current CPR card

Knowledge of computer programs

Completion of BARD PICC Line insertion course

Completion of yearly supplemental competency validation

Completion of 5 CEU's yearly related to vascular access

Preferred:

Vascular Access Certification

CRNI certification

Pay range: $54.11 - $77.68

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
