Multi-Specialty Orthopaedic group with multiple locations in Wake County, NC is seeking a full time Telephone Triage Nurse. The position will be Monday through Friday consisting of 40 hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Position may include telecommuting. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, team focused and possess empathy towards patients. Candidate will be able to work at a high volume while maintaining professionalism.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include:

· Assist patients by offering reassurance and/or medical advice based on scope of practice.

· Process prescription refill requests.

· Document appropriately and accurately in EHR system.

· Communicate with providers and management.

· Assess and escalate urgent or emergent patients per policy.

· Schedule patient appointments.

· Offer support and guidance to scheduling coordinators.

· Other duties will be assigned by management as needed.

Qualifications:

· Current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.

· Two years Orthopaedic experience preferred
