Our Clinical Nutrition team provides medical nutrition therapy and nutrition care to all patients utilizing technical skills in an acute care setting. Skills include clinical assessments, screening for nutritional risk, developing, implementing, and monitoring a nutrition care plan, education, and follow up. They provide service to patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Compliance to JCAHO Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Demonstrates ability to provide appropriate age specific patient care as established for environment and job title.
This is a part time position located in Encinitas.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s in Food Nutrition
Required Certification/Registration:
- Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration or signed verification statement confirming completion of supervised practice program
- Completed application for registration exam within 6 months of completion of program
Preferred Education/Experience:
- One of the following specialty certifications preferred Certified Nutrition Support Clinician CNSC, Certified Diabetes Educator CDE Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition CSR, Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition CSO, Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition CSG
- Experience working in an inpatient setting
