A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST (RDH)

As a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), you are vital to the success of our dental office. Your caring nature shines through as you greet patients and put them at ease. Patients appreciate how you make an effort to establish warm relationships and earn their trust. Your competence is evident as you utilize the office's state-of-the-art technology while making iTero scans and taking digital x-rays.

Once the patient is settled in the chair, you complete an oral exam and make a note of any damage or decay. As an independent self-starter, you feel confident performing thorough cleanings without oversight. While you work, you pay attention to how the patient is feeling, offering reassurance and encouragement as needed. Afterward, you offer suggestions on how to improve their oral hygiene. You know that encouragement is more well-received than judgment, so you take care to communicate with empathy. You find great satisfaction in helping patients and making them smile!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygiene license
• Ability to operate technology used in dentistry, including an iTero scanner and digital x-ray equipment
