Job description

Our office is seeking a reliable Dental Hygienist to help our team provide dental services to patients. Your primary responsibilities will be to clean and examine teeth, educate patients about dental hygiene, and maintain the office by sterilizing instruments. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be licensed to work in dentistry. We expect you to be honest, resourceful and punctual. The ability to work on an independent basis is a must. The ideal candidate should have an interest in improving the dental health of children and adults in our community.

Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
• Current state license and x-ray certification
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• We are looking for someone with the following qualifications/attributes: Minimum one year of dental hygiene experienceHighly organizedExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Dependable and honestOutgoing and compassionateExcellent computer skillsWorks well within a team atmospherePositive attitude
• Review Medical History with parent/guardian or patient.

Take x-rays when appropriate
Scale and Polish teeth
Write chart notes
Assist Dentist with charting the exam
Gain permission from parents/guardians for sealants
Speak with parents/guardians regarding today's visit
Other duties as assigned to assist team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
