Laars Heating Systems is seeking a Regional Sales Manager Mid-Atlantic region (NYC to Washington, DC) who is responsible for developing and increasing sales through the execution of the strategic business plan. The Regional Sales Manager manages sales activities in assigned regional area by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for building and managing sales channel partners activity, in the assigned territory, to increase sales. In addition, the Reginal Sales Manager will evaluate and provide guidance to sales channel partners to insure total sales effort.
  • Works in conjunction with the Director of Sales to establish annual targets and goals for each of the assigned sales territories. Ensures that sales channel partners staff in the territory adequately provides both sales and after sales support to customers.
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet or exceed organizational goals.
  • Prepares sales reports outlining sales pipeline and volume.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to help formulate policy and assist in promoting sales.
  • Provides training for new and current sales channel partners on LAARS products, technologies, and sales policies.
  • Enforces LAARS sales policies to insure sales channel partners work together to maintain highest profit margins while providing superior support.
  • Meets and delivers sales presentations to clients in coordination with sales representatives. Also represents company at industry trade association meetings and other related events.
  • Supports Sales Team budget by using good financial sense in support of growth. Manages expenses in accordance with the budget and team guidelines. Entertain sales channel partners and customers in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. Provides input to the management team on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs.
  • Maintains current knowledge of all company products, systems, and operations processes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of company products and applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing products industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling, negotiating, and public presentation is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills applicable to a sales-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous Sales Management experience is required for this role.
  • Requires the ability to travel within the market area to contact sales channel partners and clients. Current valid driver’s license required.
  • Proficient with computer software programs such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Residing in the New York Metro area preferred.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Engineering
  • Three plus years in a manufacturing sales management role
  • Five plus years total sales experience
