TECHNICIAN FUNCTIONS

Summary/Objective

Waste removal collectors are responsible for collecting and removing waste/junk, haul waste and recyclable materials for further disposal. Typical job duties are reporting data, customer service, operates equipment while collecting waste, following the designated route for the day, communicates with dispatchers, collecting refuse and reporting to supervisors, as needed.

Essential Functions

• Removing, hauling and disposing unwanted material from Single Family Residences, Businesses, Apartment Communities, etc.
• Loading and lifting, consolidating debris into a dump truck, which is 4 feet off the ground
• Marketing and cold calling to potential client companies

Work Environment

This job operates in the field or in the waste removal vehicle. This role routinely uses standard smartphone applications, and lifts waste products.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use their body to lift junk/waste.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Junk Shot is open Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Shifts and Saturday hours may vary.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-year minimum of Junk Removal, Moving, Landscaping, Delivery, Construction experience
• Able to operate Smartphone devices and applications

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Pass a pre-employment background check
• Pass a pre-employment motor vehicle record check
