Referral Coordinator/Medical Assistant
Job description
Community Health Centers of South Central Texas, Inc. (CHCSCT, Inc.), a FQHC (not for profit), is currently seeking a Referral Coordinator (Medical Assistant) for our Luling Innovation and Training Center location. Must be able to travel.
Primary duties consist of but not limited to are as follows:
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment and a multidimensional environment.
- Ability to organize people or tasks.
- Ability to work in multiple software.
- Excellent, professional communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Verifying third party information for referrals, obtaining, and arranging referral appointments.
- Documentation of referrals within the EHR.
- Maintain effective communication with all parties (provider, nurse, third party, etc.).
- Complete & Tracking referrals within EHR & Practice Management in a timely manner.
- Self-motivated, Excellent problem-solving ability through systematic analysis.
- Must be creative, flexible, professional.
- Must possess sound judgement; and
- Ability to plan and initiate new activities consistent with achieving service of excellence.

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
