Job description
As a Recycle Reuse Tech Specialist with Tradebe you will be working in the Distillation department where you are handling technical and laboratory functions involving samples that are coming into the plant.
The role
Key job responsibilities
- Perform various laboratory functions including wet chemistry, gas chromatography, and simulated pilot distillation processes for samples.
- Analyze samples and create Certificates of Analysis for outbound products
- Analyze samples for new distillation opportunities
- Continuous sampling and inventory of tanks, vessels and shipments.
- Compile data and maintain a laboratory database for Recycle Reuse Operations
- Maintain existing laboratory equipment and evaluate and install new laboratory equipment
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process Operating Instructions and enhanced Quality Control measures
- Preparing and providing process documentation and reports, including writing, reviewing and collecting data.
- Stay current with method development and regulatory requirements
- Assist Operations with task and duties associated with Recycle Reuse operations to be determined
The person
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two or more years of industry–related experience is desirable
- Experience in wet chemistry, gas chromatography, solvent distillation and general lab procedures are required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to analyze and develop workable solutions
