Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is hiring a full time Recreation Specialist I to work with youth ages 5 to 18 who have a mental health diagnosis in our Sullivan County Children & Youth Recreation Program located in Monticello, NY. Requirements:

AA in Human Services with three years of experience working with children and adolescents.

Must work well in a positive, strengths focused, high energy, and rapidly changing environment.

Position includes day and evening hours, but hours can vary based on needs of youth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure that all arrangements are made to enable access to activities (e.g. transportation, funds, reservations, etc.)

Document group activities in reports and progress notes.

Participate in all required training and attend staff meetings/ supervisions.

Temporarily provide all recreational services via zoom or other online platform.

Other requirements:

Familiarity with technology to support online recreational activities.

Valid driver's license, successful completion of Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Family Services Statewide Central Register Database Check.

Hours and Benefits:

· 40-hour work week, the position includes day and evening hours, but hours can

vary based on the needs of the youth

· Eligible for Overtime Pay and Holiday Double-Time Pay
